Parents may submit the attendance form on the eLearning day to certify their child's attendance.  Assignment completion may also be used to certify a student's attendance for the day.

Assignments
Students will be informed of their learning targets and activities by 9:00 a.m. the morning of an eLearning Day (by 10:00 a.m., if district called a delay earlier that morning).  Please remember, students may use a phone, laptop, or tablet to check assignments; any device that can connect to the internet can access Canvas.

Academic Help
Teachers will be available online, by email, by phone, or via the Canvas message system for questions and help during the day from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (by 10:00 a.m., if district called a delay earlier that morning). Teachers will inform students the mode of communication to be used on an eLearning Day.

What is eLearning?
Knox teachers currently create standards-based lessons that include electronic resources and assignments available through Canvas, the Learning Management System in use throughout our district. The use of eLearning will expand teachers’ ability to continue instruction in the event of an inclement weather day, on a make-up day for inclement weather, or on a planned day for other valid opportunities. On an eLearning day, instruction will continue without disruption; teachers will post assignments and be available electronically for student/parent assistance.
